Impact Credit Union was born from a very simple idea: People Helping People
From the beginning as Davidson Clyde Federal Credit Union in 1937, to our position today as one of the largest credit unions in our field of membership, Impact Credit Union is steadfast in our commitment to our Members.

A Timeline of Impact Credit Union History - Our Beginning
Established in 1937 as Davidson Clyde Federal Credit Union, we became the Clyde Porcelain Federal Credit Union in 1945. In 1956, our name changed to Whirlpool Clyde Division Federal Credit Union. We became the Whirlpool Employees Federal Credit Union in 1960.
Our Expansion
In 1971, through a merger with the Findlay Division Whirlpool Federal Credit Union, the Clyde- Findlay Whirlpool Employees Credit Union was created. In 1986 we expanded our field of membership and became the Clyde-Findlay Employees Federal Credit Union.
Changing our Charter
In 1994 we reorganized as a state chartered credit union. As a result, we became the Clyde- Findlay Area Credit Union, serving individuals that live, work, worship, or attend school in Sandusky, Seneca, and Hancock counties.
Expanding in the 21st Century
Today we are Impact Credit Union, providing premium products and exceptional member service to individuals that live, work, worship, or attend school in Sandusky, Seneca, Hancock, and Wood counties. Even as we continue to seek opportunities to grow, our priority remains to our members. We are committed to contributing to the financial health and wellness of our members.
